My name is Jana Novotná. I was born on October 15th, 1975 in Prague. When I was five, our family moved to České Budějovice.
My father, Petr Novotný, was born on March 3rd, 1949 in Prague. He works as the principal at a nursing school. My mother, Marie Novotná, née Svobodová, was born on the same day and year as my father. My mother works as a nursery teacher. I have three brothers and sisters. Michal and Lucie are twins. They attend elementary school. My brother Pavel studies in the second year of a secondary vocational school.
For one year I used to go to a nursery school from 1978 to 1982 I attended kindergarten. During 1982 - 1990 I attended elementary language school. In May 1990 I passed the entrance exam for the grammar school. After I passed the graduation exam, I enrolled at the Teaching Faculty of Charles University in Prague. I have studied German and English here for four years and I became a teacher in 1999.
I am interested mostly in the arts. I play the piano, the guitar and the flute very well. I attended an Art school when I was a child. During my studies in Prague I became a member of a dramatic club. Nowadays, I sing in the student choir three times a week. I like reading and going to theatre.
