Also amater painter and sportsman Petr Mužík had chaose this realy difficult way.

He has born 12.7.1949 in family of the roompainter a worker. Father was not only roompainter, but also glowing musician – he played the trumpet and sported, also his mother had talent, especially literary, she wrote short stories in English and german language to the magazine. She used his parental name ,, Zanklová”, because she was born in Germany. This note is here purposely, because Petr Mužík use signature ,, P.M.Zankl” on his paintings.

The parents of Petr Mužík had recognize and than support talent of their son. Petr sang, lerned play the trumpet and guitar and together pusrsued in sport – especially football and then footballtenis, which he played many years, also like coach of youth.

In year 1967 he learned car repairman, then he was 2 years in compulsory military service and since 1981 work in the firm Becherovka in Carlsbad. In addition to this work and active sport, he also developed his painting talent.

The big break came, when the building of his house was finished, in the house was many free space, because his sons were in compulsory military service, and Petr widowed in meantime.

Here came opportunity to accommodate professional painters from Sankt Peterburg. This was the very important pictorial period (1989) of Petr, which strongly signified his next pictorial work.

Petr Mužík was more or less autodidact to this time, although he had a big talent, Petr didn´t learn in a special school. This reason changed and during triennial teamwork with painters from Sankt Petersburg, when advices rotated with hard criticisms, Petr absoloved a exam and than he could place in fundamental members of Sankt Petersburg union of painters. I want gladly mention a few names of this excellent artists, kind people and friends. Especially Petr Kostenko, Valentin Kozlov, Oleg Kukuškin, Stas Korjagin and etc.

Petr Mužík pant realistic. Theme of his paintings is especially landscape. His most favoriteplaces are combined with water, for example river or pond. Petr is warm fisherman and he spend many time by the water, so he get mayn themes for his creation. His works are leading with energy and at the same time with feeling. His paintings are intelligible for everybody, which join tradicional realistic landscape.
