Page 32 - Why don't Karaites believe in the Talmud

Question:

Why don't Karaites believe in the Talmud?

Answer:

Karaites do not believe that God gave Moses the so called Oral Torah. Karaites do not believe that Moses received with the written Torah an oral tradition or other oral teaching. The Prophet Moses repeatedly said that the written Law of the Torah must be observed.

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish from it, that ye may keep the commandments of
יהוה your God which I command you. (5M 4:2)

If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are
written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and awful Name,
יהוה thy God. (5M 28:58)

And it came to pass, when Moses had
made an end of writing the words of this Law in a book, until they were finished. (5M 31:24)

When Moses wrote the Law (Torah), he gave it to the priests, and ordered to the elders of Israel:

When all Israel is come to appear before
יהוה thy God in the place which He shall choose, thou shalt read this Law before all Israel in their hearing.  (5M 31:10-11)

All this word which I command you, that shall ye observe to do; thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it. (5M 13:1)

Remember ye the law of Moses My servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, even statutes and ordinances. (Mal 3:22)

The above mentioned passages clearly prove to us that the Torah which was written by prophet Moses on the command of God, is the only compact and undivided Holy Law and the faith that Karaites profess.
