Full standalone version of Digital Paint Paintball2 for Windows (Quake2 not required!). If you've never played the game, this is the file you need to get.
The dropdown will show you various locations where you can download individual third party maps for Paintball2. Zipped files generally have other media (textures, sounds, etc.) and need to be extracted into your paintball2 directory. BSP files need to be put in your paintball2/pball/maps directory.
This includes BSP along with all the necessary .wal textures, compilers, and everything else you need to get started making maps for Paintball2. Extract to C:\BSP. See included install text for details.
This is a .map which you can use to get a better understanding of how to make maps for Digital Paint Paintball II. It includes support for 1-Flag and 2-Flag CTF as well as Deathmatch. This file is included with the BSP pack above, so if you're using that, you don't need to download this.
Several mappers have donated their .map source code so you can reference them to see how different things were constructed. Be sure to get permission from the map authors if you want to use any significant portion of the map, though. Not all of the map files here are complete.
This is a list of other files that might be useful. If you don't know what they are, you probably don't need them. If you're making custom textures or using an editor besides BSP, you may need some of these.
This is the "prequil" to Paintball 2: Quake Innovations Paintball, branched off of the QTeam mod which had the first implementation of CTF for Quake. It wasn't made by Digital Paint, but several people who worked on it are now working with Digital Paint.
If you've never seen Paintball with the Paintball status bar, you've really been missing out! This patch adds it so you can see the status bar when playing QuakeWorld paintball. It also adjusts the blue and red to make them truer colors (no more pale ugly blue).
After a few requests that I release the original ksplat2 (I think it was in QIPBall beta 2), here it is! This is the very small outdoor map with both bases visible and a hill in the middle.
